After Intake installation?
Hello everyone, Well i just installed my Aem yesterday, and everything is going well. But my friend asked if I unplugged then plugged back my ecu to reset the settings. So, my question is, is that necessary to unplug it for few seconds then plug it back in? And can you guys tell me where its located? is it hard to get to?
Thanx

It is not necessary... it helps though.
The ECU will adjust itself after a couple of days if you don't reset it.
You can simply disconnect the battery, that worked for me.

I just pulled the ECU fuse (from the fuse box under the hood by the battery), but I didn't notice any difference afterwards and I tried it several times. I've disconnected the battery a few times for various things too, but there was no driving difference afterwards.
When I installed my intake, I noticed that my idle would occasionally drop as low as about 700 rpm (as opposed to about 800-900 stock). Now with my I/H/E, it'll drop to as low as 600 rpm. Seems to do it mostly when it's warm/hot out. Resetting the ECU had no effect. But, it's not a real problem, just something weird that I've noticed.
