Default My dyno's # for slightly modded B18c1

I did 6 runs in total all in 3rd gear. The best out of my first 3 was 155.3hp & 123.1tq with 48psi fuel. They told me I was running way to rich I was @ 12.0 a/f ratio.

My best run was @ stock 40psi 166hp & 129.1tq .

Sorry didn't scan it jut took a pic of it. (look @ where it is revving to my gauge cluster shows 8k rpm but the graph shows like 9500 rpm don't know what the **** is wrong with it, lucky I didn't float a valve with my pistons)

Here is my hoop on the dyno.

I can't wait till get a header (probably the DC JDM 4 to 1) and some CTR or Skunk2 stage 1's with some cams gears tuned.

Tell me what u think. Also does anyone have any idea's why my gauge cluster is like 1500 rpm off up top only. Can the cluster be broken?

not bad numbers, 4th gear runs are more accurate though

looks like the whole curve is shifted by 1k rpm, (if you're using P72 ECU). other then that looks like good numbers

Your tach is so off because factory tachs aren't all that accurate.

That's why I run an aftermarket tach.....it's dead on.

I was also surprised @ how much torque I had I thought it would be around the high teens low 120's not almost 130tq.

I'm a little confused as to why with all those mods, your only about 11whp over stock B18C numbers??

Check this site out. http://www.dynocenter.com/98obd2.html
You will see my #'s are 33 hp & like 25 tq more that this stock gs-r. B18c1's usually do around 135 to 144 hp stock.

my '95 B18C1 made 155whp stock....I've seen others claim in 150's, the torque is a decent gain..I guess I would've expected more from the Mugen chip.

my '95 b18c1 dynoed in at 143whp when stock.

i would 140-150 for a stock GS-R is right about on, with some OBD-II's netting 137's here and there....

regardless, those are some good numbers

I don't want to call BS but I have to.
155 whp = like 185 fwhp.
Unless they messed up and put some r cams and pistons in there.

PLus look @ this link http://www.dynocenter.com/jdm_sir.html of a JDM integra sir it put out 149whp stock and with intake catback and header put down 158.4whp.

Here is a link of a bone stock itr dyno putting 161.9whp. http://www.dynocenter.com/gkawano_stock.gif
Here is another itr putting down 158whp http://www.dynocenter.com/98R_jboyer.jpg

Sorry just had to prove the BS.

so.... how did you prove BS?? This is a quote from that first link you sent me...
"For his bone-stock runs, our contributor had a peak of 149hp, which reflects well against most USDM bone-stock B18C numbers for the equivalent year.. "
6whp isn't too far..

Second, posting poor ITR charts doesn't prove anything..so they have issues, bad maint., etc. etc. the possibilites to create weak numbers are endless..

Third, you said 155whp = like 185fwhp...that's more than a 16% loss.. what hondas have you been driving? Even that quote from your first link said 149whp..coming from 170fwhp, that's only a 12% loss. Anything over 15% from a Honda is very suprising, and usually something isn't right.

Don't get mad at me because you spent too much money for too little power gain

Dyno's are supposed to be done in the gear with the cloest 1:1 gear ratio.
3rd gear is supposed to pull the strongest so theoretically you will see more HP. The Dyno cannot adjust for that kind of run.

Just to talk numbers. My 95 GSR dynoed at 150whp and 117 lb ft trq with just the Comptech Short ram / Icebox. I have no clue what the original stock number is.

I've seen plenty of 150's (12% loss due to parasitic drag is just right)..

low 140's means somehow you got robbed, or you are losing quite a bit with your 17%!! loss from pd..

I don't care if this guys' **** is 155 or not, in any case, dyno runs should be averages anyway.. Way too many people pay attn to ONE RUN.. blegh - too many stats courses to know, that's just dumb..

Different machines, different 'supposedly standard' SAE results from the same exact car in different locations.. Use the same dyno, use it definitively ONLY for your own damn self.. Anything more, it's an estimate of what to expect to be in the neighborhood of.. (kinda like draggin')

Many other factors involved in dynos. The dyno itself can make numbers look different. The temperature, altitude. Etc... Thats why you go to the same dyno shop and get a baseline so you know what YOUR improvements are. The same care may dyno 145 one place and 150 the next. Depending on what dyno is used.
