Cat/ Idle Problem...
Hey gents;
I have this strange rattle coming from underneith my car once the RPMS go below 500. First of all I have such a wired fluctuation idle. When the car is warmed up after a day of driving the idle is at 800 or it can even go as low as like 200, almost like its going to stall.
When the idle dips below or at 500, there is a rattle that I have noticed and I have pin pointed it to my cat. Could there be something loose in the car? Could the bolts from the header to the cat be loose? I have numged it with a pvc pipe, the only that i could grab that would go that far under my car, during it rattleing and if i leave the stick on there with some force the rattle will stop, once i let up the force or the pressure, the rattling will continue.
What are your opinions on this matter? Thanks for your time in reading this. I would appreciate any input.

Damn, I'm having the same problem too! I think I know that's the rattling is though, it's the exhaust pipping at the header connection. Some one help us out!
I had that problem. What i did was raised the car to see wat it was. It turned out that the exhaust shop that i went to to get a new Cat did a shitty welding job, so the cat. would be moving at different rpms (mostly around 3500). That might be the rattling noise you all are hearing.
About the idle. I have no clue, but im pretty sure 200rpm is way to low. Hope wat i said helps. If not then sorry. Good luck.

about the rattle - jack up car and look. mine rattled when i my gears engaged...i thought it was the TY bearings or even the disc. but it was the bolts...
bolt + no locking washer = no-no.
