are OEM piston ring OK to use with forged JE psitons and GEM sleeves under boost???
if you are using je pistons use je rings simple as that always use pistons and rings from the same man.

i have JE rings (which are actually Hastings rings) now, but i have to replace them, i have ready access to OEM parts at wholesale prices, that's why i asked

For how much money you have stuck into your setup go out and buy the damn JE rings. You know you'll be kicking yourself if you have shitty compression after everything is put together.
Does OEM even have a 20 over H series ring available? Hastings is the way to go if you ask me... OEM are designed for OEM motors... Hastings are performance rings designed for performance. If you need hastings, call jon up at race performance. He will take care of you.

Call JE and ask them. I called and asked this same question and I'm pretty sure that the answer was that JE rings and OEM rings are different, ie not interchangeable. But call and make sure.
