Default MAP sensor woes...

I have the missing link and ever since I changed throttle bodies (map sensor went from the top to the bottom) would this make the missing link "malfunction" the CEL never came on with the stock throttle body but it has been comming on randomly for about a week now and it comes on every time I hit boost now. anyone have any clue on why the CEL would be coming on? btw its the map sensor code if you couldn't figure that out.

Have you tried cleaning the missing link, it's little hole on the outside can get clogged up and cause problems.

I tried two different MAP sensors on the car today and the CEL still came on. The car hesitates (builds boost but doesnt take off.. when already moving) and then the CEL comes on. I looked for vacuum leaks but didnt find any. Could the Missing link be bad?

possibly... try this. go to the fish store and buy 3 or 4 check valves. Install the check valves in place of the missing link. If you still get the CEL then you know your problem lies somewhere other then your missing link/check valve problem.

It would help to know what CEL code your throwing, if its 3 then yes something is not working with the ML, but if its 13 then its unrelated and doesnt' effect anything.

here's the deal. i put my friends missing link on and all of my problems went away. the hesitation is gone and no check engine light. im not sure what was wrong with my missing link but it was the problem.
