Is a greddy kit complete?
After buying the kit do i have to buy a wastegate and a blow-off valve? How long does it take to install a turbo kit? Do you think i can get it done for 500?
dude, i have a del sol with a GReddy kit and the kit cost me 4700 dollars, u could probably buy a turbo itself for 500 dollars, but all the bells and wistles are gunna run more than that. A turbo kit will take u probably 2-3 hours to install if u know what ur doing, other wise, maybe longer.
I can get the kit for 1500 a intercooler for 700 but i don't know if i need other things. I can't afford to get killed on installation.
Here is what they say about the kit i'm going to put it on a d16y8:
1992-95 Honda Civic EX Turbo Kit 1.6 liter S.O.H.C.
This affordable kit utilizes a TD04H-15G Mitsubishi turbo. It includes a cast iron manifold, cast iron downpipe adapter, mandrel bent pipes, boost sensitive ECU interface, 12:1 fuel pressure regulator, open element air filter and a host of gaskets, fittings, and hardware so that proper fitment is insured. It increases the horsepower by about 35% and allows you to keep your air conditioner compressor in its stock location. An intercooler kit is sold separately.

i dont know where some of these pple are gettin their info or if they're just taking guesses, but i see alotta incorrect info. the greddy kit w/out intercooler can be had for around 1500 and includes everything u need except boost gauge, bov, and ic. everything u will need to safely boost 5psi on a stock engine with a stock fuel system is included.

2-3 hours to install?
The SOHC Greddy kit includes everything neccessary to run your car. (Turbo, piping, gaskets, manifold, DP, oil feed/return, blue box, intake pipe and filter, etc.)
It does NOT include a BOV and intercooler since its a CARB legal kit. The addition of either of these components voids the CARB legal status.

Exactly...No Intercooler or BOV....and your going to have to toss the blue box away...and your running and internal wastegate....CARB this is the kit.....Tall ceiling for improvements, not your kit.....hassle free NO...all turbo setups takes alot of attention....My custom kit would have tallied to about $4000....everything....all the turbo hardware, intercooler hardware, exhaust hardware, fuel components, and fuel management system.....your call....there are more options...but then again it won't be CARB legal

WTF: It took almost a whole two nights for my friend to install his. About 10-14 hours together. Remember you have to drill, take off the fan, cut the fan shroud, take of the header, intake, bumper and then you have to put everything back. And then you have to wire the blue box. and thats not even the half of it.

do you think i can get up to 300 hp with this kit? WHat is a good yet cheap brand of intercooler and bov? I wanted to also but a timer and boost controller. I was going to buy the greddy brand. Also if i buy this kit do you know of anyone who would want a dc 4-1 ceramic header that has only been used for 200 miles?
