Do you mean the flange where the DP meets the turbo?? if so i had to use a 2.5" donut for the first 2 inches then i hook the 3" to that.

close enough to a full 3in for me.

I noticed a good power gain out of doing this also, since my original DP was only 2.25" (dont ask why)

Here is how I got around the problem of using a 3" DP without enough room (just have the bolt in place before the weld is made!).

http://www.atpturbo.com...go to the turbo catalog and browse alittle bit. He has these 2.5" rings flared to 3", what they do is, you weld the 2.5" to the flange, and then it immediatly flares, and weld the 3" pipe to it....what sucks is, i already planned to go with a 2.5" down pipe till i saw this, now i'm considering a 3", but i already have everything to build a 2.5"....

Full 3" on the 4 bolt flange works if you're careful and use round head bolts like I did:

Also as people have mentioned just flare it to 3 from the flange and it will be fine.

Damn, Im gonna have fun making my downpipe. The outlet of the turbine is larger then my 4 bolt flange that I have. Oh well, out comes the die-grinder
