Default Strange creaking problem

I tried posting in the tech forum a little while ago and got no answers. I've got an 88 Civic with a B16A/S1, with a new ACT heavy duty clutch (1000 miles old or so), lightened flywheel, etc etc. Anyways, whenever I'm shifting gears, say from 2nd to 3rd, and I rev it to 2500 or so and kind of ride the clutch, it makes a weird metallic creaking noise. I can't for the life of me tink about what it is... it has a new throwout breaing, new ACT clutch, etc etc. Maybe a loose motor mount? it almosut sounds like the exhaust is doing it! ANyone had any problems like this before? The car has seen dragstip action, and the clutch is grippy as hell. No problems there.

C'mon guys... need some help here.

Hehehe I unbolted the exhaust to see if that's what it was.... well it seemed to help, but the car still did that weird metal on metal squeaking noise. Let me tell you.... driving aound open headered will scare everyone. VTEC is insane.... so freaking loud.

Are you sure it's not your clutch pedal assembly needing some lube?
Just a thought.

It's coming from around the passenger side area... at least that's what I thought when I rode in the car!

Hey matt I didn't know you unbolted your exhaust! Gonna remove it for the dragstrip tonight? I'm sure everyone will want to hear it run open headered

Hmmm I never thought of that. Any way to fix it without dropping the tranny?

If it was my problem, and since I'm lazy, I would take my spray can of poly grease, and spray the **** out of it. If not, maybe it's the throwout bearing.....inside the tranny
