Default Need help on retarding my timing ??????????

Hi guys, I just put the turbo kit for my 95 Integra and I just wanted to ask you which is the cheapest way to retard timing. I am planing on running 9 psi. I got everything else (garett t3, fmic, bov, charge piping, uptated fuel system) and retarding igition is all I need. And also how much should I retard. Please no bs just technical answers.

Thanks,

you want cheap or safe?

Best way would be a Hondata or something that will allow you to properly tune fuel and timing as well as all other aspects.

If you want something relatively cheap, you can use a boost timing retard device such as a BTM or BTC.

I have my Jackson Racing BTC and will sell it to you for $150 if you want it. can retard as little as 1/10th degree per psi up to 2 degrees per psi. This was designed for the supercharged cars but works just as well on turbos, boost is boost.

I highly recomend a btm you can get a new one for about $175 or find a used one for cheap (i paid $65). A less desireable way is to retard your timing by turning your distributor. That will effect your cam timing, injector timing, ignition timing and power output.
