This is a shortblock off a 92-95 Civic SIR-2.
The reason why I said "JDM B16A2" is because I want to make sure that
people know this shortblock is a 2nd gen B16A shortblock, not those
1st gen junk motors you see. The block does read "B16A" and you
can tell by the pistons. The pistons are P30 pistons, not the regular
PR3 pistons. Thanks.

Yea. Not putting down 1st gen B16As but usually they're usually older = more
miles. Besides, the 2nd gen is "grey plug" and has the "p30" higher compression
pistons. Not to mention there is a big price difference between the 1st gen
B16A and 2nd gen B16A.

well being older doenst mean anything casue no one know the exact mileage on any jdm motor, for 2 the only thing different between the 2 motors is the obd1 version has a slightly bettter cams and a tiny bit more compression. the price difference is mainly becasue of the hydro tranny

True. Because of the higher compression p30 pistons, it should worth more.
And generally speaking a 88-91 B16As USUALLY have more miles than the
92-95 B16As due to the fact that they're older.

By the way, what do you do to the head? 'cuz the $400 head porting
and polishing looks like a good price.

i am not sure. my guess is u have to plug up the oil hole on the vtec block.
and for the oil jet its in the block for pistons lub., i dont think its necessary to do anything about it.
