Default What mods can I do w/o the ability to dyno tune?

The car is a 91 LS teggy;

1. What performance mods can I do to my car (other than i/h/e), that don't need dyno tuning to run at their peek?

2. There is one dyno in my area and they charge $130 PER RUN. So, dyno tuning is not an option. I could drive 3 hours to Seattle, to get my car dyno tuned, but I don't know of any cheap dyno places there.

3. What mods DO need dyno tunig? I think adjustable cams do right?

You can get new spark plug wires, plugs, ignition system, aftermarket coil, bigger throttlebody, and some mild cams. About everything else needs dyno. I have a set of jg301 cams if your interested. Left over from my LS head, I went to a GSR head.

Okay...You can run some mid cams and an IM without tuning...but you really wont be seeing the gains you would with tuning. I suggest finding a place in Seattle. Get all that stuff on, and go get her tuned once its all in.

dont waste you're money on fancy plugs/wires/ignition system. Unless you are making serious power, this does next to nothing.

you can go with a TB, high flow cat, and of course suspension/brakes.

Proper TB size is determined by the intake manifold plenium size.

Don't waste your money changing it.
