Default ot: test drove the RSX type S!!!

woah...the shifts are sooo nice. their short and crisp. it has to be the best gearbox (shifter) ive ever tried out. the car is almost on par with the gsr, maybe a tad bit quicker. the ride is soooo smooth and quiet inside! i like the car alot! the handling is alot better then the gsr, but not as nimble as a type r.

+ nice as hell shiftbox
+quiet
+smooth ride
+nice as hell seats, their snuggly and bigger then the integra's.
+handles better then a gsr/not as good as type r
+love the (analog?&gt climate control
+the location of cup holders

-somewhat whack design
-not as fast as a type r
-doesnt handle as well as type r

over all i give the car

Is the shifter cable operated? I'm just a little skeptical that it is as direct as the current setup.

just test drive it...you will love how the car shifts. its soooo smooth..short and precise. the throws are actually shorter then teh type r's and the shifts are closer too.

Kengs - the new RSX shifter is a cable mechanism. I was a little concerned too until every magazine (and this post) said that the new cable-shift is better (more direct, shorter throws) than the old Teg's rod-actuated shifter.

Shane- I went by Acura Carland today and there were 6-7 RSX's, two type-s'. I looked under the car and checked the swaybars and rear lower tie bar, looked kinda like the R. Also, if you look from behind the front wheel in the wheelwell, you can see straight through to the other side and see the high mount steering rack. Looked pretty cool. The engine bay is pretty cramped. Can't wait to see parts for this......

Question. my dealer called me today of RSX arrived. There is a memo that they must received some ECU link cable so
before car delivery to customer, it had to download info from honda tech link in order to optimized performance.
I wonder if this is a way to be anti theft for future security or is it that u can't screw around no more with ECU because
everything u do, dealer can download info of car's status?
The other thing is on satoauto website, u see RSX with oem full aero with opt wheels. Dont they look like Type-R wheels
in polish aluminum and are they 15 or 16's in same design??
Well, next wk i go for test drive while getting oil change for my ITR at 7500miles.

hmm...I gues there is a difference in performance w/ the JDM type r, which gets 14.3 on the 1/4 mile (stock)...GSR would not keep up even on its best day
