cusco catch tank install?????
Just came in from trying to figure out where to put this thing. The instructions are in japanese.Their are a few pictures but, they are for a right hand drive.Looks like I might need some more tubing too.Wheres a good spot to mount this with these brakets?.was thinking it cant be too far from the pcv..help please
I'm trying to find a place too. It seems like the only place it will fit is up in front by the abs pump or on the firewall. Obviously brackets will have to be made.

up front yah looks like a good spot but isnt a bit far.Your hoses will be pretty long. Not sure if their is enough vacuum.I tried putting the braket upside down on the catch can.And i can bolt it up on left side of my aem. They,re is a spot you can put a screw into.Just be held on with one bolt though.Looks like it might work.Anyone elsseeeeee got any suggestions?Maybe with some diff brackets would be easier. What kind will work?..Where can I find them??

kengs,
i'm sure it works fine, but really haven't been able to tell anything. subjectively it sounds different, smoother. but my car always sounds different after i do something to it!
i've been told that it really fills up with plenty of track use and the only thing i've done since i've installed it is a lapping event at gingerman.
i'm pretty sure i get plenty of vacuum cause the clear tube on the side of the can (oil level) is oil-colored. and also the beginning of the clear "return" tube is oil-colored. so there is enough to at least pull some oil into the can. but after about 6" the coloring clears and it is clear as new at the intake manifold... makes me kinda think there isn't much going on inside the cusco can baffle-wise and possibly the length of the tubing is serving as a "catch" and the can just serves as a reservior for oil that is "in the tube."

Not a Cusco, but it is a Moroso catch can which looks similiar in size. As you can see from the picture it is mounted on the passenger side shock tower. I made a bracket out of aluminum and mounted it to the existing bracket on the Moroso can. The clear tube goes to the intake manifold and the black tube goes to the PCV valve. This location also keep the hose length short. HTH.
