Default Nitrous ?

What would be easier on the motor, direct port, or standard intake jetting? Also, Im debating on running 75 for track use only, once a month, or a 50 shot and spraying at the strip and occasionally on the street.

I ask because of the theory that intake jetting is hard on the #1 cylinder, but Im also looking for the best reliability.

Thanks,
gmoore

It is currently, but I may take it off if its messed up again, and spray. Ohh, and I was going Zex if I just go intake jetted. Any more opinions?

you cant do intake shot with the jrsc. you have to spray after the air is boosted. lok around for a plates system. you should probably do wet if you are boosted.

If you were going to run a dry intake-injected type deal -- you can ensure a better mix in all the cylinders if you tap the intake like 16" away so it has a chance to disperse.

But if youre going to run 75, then I would surely go direct port, or if you have a GSR, go ahead and get the plate kit.

I have a GSR, if I spray it will be because I took the blower off. Is direct port safer and more reliable than intake jetting?

If youre only planning on shooting 50 - I would choose Zex. Anything above that -I just wouldnt be comfortable putting all that in my intake. I really would choose the alternative on this on 75+.

As of now Im only planning on 50, but you know how that goes, Ill want more in no time. But believe me, if I add more, Ill tune more, I cant afford to mess anything up. Why are you weary of spraying 75 into the intake? Ohh, and what do you prefer? Wet or Dry?

i know a few people with zex kits. they werent happy with them. yea they are real safe and all but, you want power man. you can pickup a n.o.s. direct port for like $600 new. when you spray alot into the intake the its not distributed as well as if it were direct port. plus ive ridden in a car where we had it setup a pure dry 50 shot and then switched it to 50 wet. it made alot of difference. good diference. go direct.

Is direct reliable? Reliability/safety is just as important to me as the speed.

zex is the safest. but if you are going to run 75 or higher, i would go direct b/c of the added fuel.

yes its true that direct port is a better way to distribute the juice, as well as make an even and safer ride. also it is true that single port will put slightly more strain on #1 cylinder than the others, but this isnt totally the case with the ZEX kit. because the ZEX kit regulates the boost, it has a manual shut off if you start running too lean or are over boosting. not to say ZEX is the best, but it is far supiorer to other single port systems, not to mention a fraction of the cost to do a whole dpi system. i say start with the zex and if you find it insuficiant then uprade. id be suprised if you couldnt get one for what you sell the jrsc for. unless its busted, then good luck

Im not gonna spray with my SC, if I sell it then Ill spray. Im leaning towards Zex, DP is alot of work, and more to go wrong. I wont be sprayin alot, so Zex makes more sense to me. Now to chose...

Wet or Dry? I wont spray over 75, Ill probably stick with 50 actually.
