oil control jet in a mini me???

do you remove the oil control jet in the block when doing a mini me, or do you leave it alone?

its in the back of the non-vtec block. you do remove this, if not the pressure will be too high and kill v-tec, see it happen

remove it from the block....there is one in the cylinder head that replaces its function. actually if you don't remove it then there will NOT be high enough pressure to activate vtec

im doing the opposite, from mini-me to NoTec head on my D16z6 block....(smog issues) in my '91 EF Si hatch. There is no oil control jet on this block, which i believe i will need for the non-vtec A6 head i'm putting on. Can i use the oil control jet from any 92-95 non-vtec motor? ------no luv in ecology yet --

any one know about this?
