Hey ppl, JW if anyone has any sites w/ the 9815 for under 500$ Thats what there listed at crutchfield, but i seen them on ebay, brand new for about 380$.. Should i pick one up off ebay? hell for that price... I got my last alpine from indoaudio, and it was fine. but i don't see any 9815's on his site

It's on you. If you want a warranty, go to Crutchfield, or a local authorized dealer. If you want to save money, use ebay. I would choose the latter.

 

Most manufacturers will make it a pain in the *** to get a piece warantied if it's not purchased from an authorized dealer. At a authorized dealer, you pay full pop, but it's cool how you can get extended warranties on it if it breaks in like 3 years or so and includes realignments. Buy online or off e-bay and you take your chance, but you do save some loot.

 

Alpine's are outstanding so you shouldn't need that warranty unless you pour coffee on it or something.

 

Or you could do a little of both. You could buy it from ikesound.com who sells on ebay as lscala1 or something like that, Then if anything breaks you just pay $29 and return it and get a full exchange.

 

I got my Clarion from Scala1 3 years ago, and I've yet to have a problem.
