comments about EBAY
ok people, i am sick and tired of people posting links to ebay and asking about their credibility.
there are only a couple of reasons why i go to ebay to buy something:
rule number one is when you go on ebay, KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO BUY BEFORE YOU ENTER THE SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ebay is the market for people who dont want to spend money or are too naive to care about the product they are buying. 9 times outta 10 the product is a "copy" of a brand name that is built by 10 year olds in a 50 year old factory.
Yes, you can find amazing deals on ebay, I have witnessed this first hand, however, i knew EXACTLY what i was buying.
For the people who dont know any better, please stay off ebay unless you know what you are buying. If you have to ask about a products credibility, then there is likely an answer stating why not to buy from them.
Please use your head. The honda race would be a hell of alot better without people who believe in the ebay product.

I agree, you can anything from a Mugen bumper to a 'Mugen style' bumper on eBay but if you're too much of a n00b to tell the difference, you will learn a lesson the hard way.

another rule for eBay i personally use besides knowing what to buy is, I never buy the "kits" anything with "kit" for performance will be mediocre at best. lipkit is diff story. but HID "kits", turbo "kits" and all that are just trouble.
my rule for ebay: only buy singular items. that way if u have a problem with it, u can just take off the 1 part and either return it or cut ur losses for ONE item. compared to if you bought a turbo kit for 1899.99.

I personally don't feel that eBay is an evil place. I've used it for years, and not only for automotive purchases..
The problem is when the eBay User doesn't read the entire auction description and/or doesn't ask the Seller Questions about the item.
If you are unsure about an item a eBay User (Specifically a Single Person) is selling, ask them a question about the item, if they seem to not know anything about it, then it's probably best not to buy it, unless you are willing to take the chance to be screwed.
If it's a eBay User that is a company, they're normally selling stuff cheaper than you'll find on most websites. Normally they do not have very high customer service since they're probably doing a lot of business and also not directly involved with the customer. So ask them a question about the item before hand, give them a little time to respond. You're not the only person they serve.
Be sure to check the part numbers if the item has one, ask for the part numbers if they're not listed, don't take a chance and hope it's what you want/need.
ALSO, Check the users feedback! They might have 98% or 99%, but their last few auctions might have given them the Negative Feedback.
And eBay doesn't MAKE stuff! eBay is a Market Place. Other users, people/companies, sell stuff through eBay. Stop putting a name/label to stuff bought/sold on eBay.
Good luck

Agreed. There are a few simple things I would consider buying new off eBay. Intake pipes and headers (cheap *** headers) are about the only things. I don't expect anything but sometime you can be pleasantly surprised, like I was with the header.
Buying anything complicated like a turbo kit or an LSD or something off and eBay seller is not going to be a good idea, how much do you really think they care about quality control or customer service (post sale)?
Buying used goods on there is another game though, just be sure the seller isn't a d-bag.

Just thought I would comment on Ebay. I love ebay. I think its a great place. Ive never had a problem with ebay. I use paypal to pay for everything, and so far paypal, has pretty much refunded every dollar for an item listed that wasnt as it was described. Ive bought everything for my last lude pretty much off Ebay, with the exception of a few. Ive even bought my most recent lude off ebay too. I beleive it is a great place to shop, but you had just better make sure you have your *** covered, I suggest paypal. They insure what you buy up to 1000$.
I love eBay.
I even bought my 4th gen off eBay and had it shipped here. I recommend for big purchases to get into contact with the seller to discuss details and get to know them to make sure there isn't anything they are trying to hide.
I have bought and sold many things on eBay and never had an issue. As long as you do your research on products to know what you are buying and you buy from users who have decent feedback then you should be alright. If you don't read auction descriptions completely and don't look at feedback then you are gonna get into a mess.

I used to hate ebay... but i learned my lesson how important is communication with the seller. Now when i buy something in them i always communicate with them and all items i bought from ebay arrives.. especially seller hondapartsunlimited.

Same here, bought my 4th gen off eBay. Not to mention I saved a SHITLOAD of money by buying my name brand intake, header, and exhaust off eBay. Can't beat a NEW GReddy Evo2 for $500 shipped... As stated before, as long as you thoroughly read the entire auction page and inspect the recent feedback of the seller you can't go wrong. And most importantly, LOOK AT THE PART NUMBER!
I love ebay turbo kits, they add more hp than my stickers
i think everyone got the point so ill sum it up !
-buyer beware
-buy singular items u can return or cut the loss on the $$ spent
-read carefully on what ur getting
-eBay is a marketplace, it is not a brand
-there ARE deals on ebay but u have to filter through the garbage
-OEM-like and OEM are 2 different things
-recent feedback on similar auto items is what ur lookin for, not feedback on shoes
-know what you're looking for

I highly disagree with you. Paypal does not guarantee you, your money back, ive been battle ling with paypal for years to refund my funds. If the user cheated on you by not sending you the "purchased item" paypal will try to take out the funds from "THE SELLER'S ACCOUNT" well guess what if their account is $0, you dont get any refund. PAYPAL will not give you your money back, GET Educated... http://www.paypalsucks.com
Buyer beware, I still use ebay to buy things, but with discretion. Heck I even got a legitimate mugen kit from ebay and several jdm options for my lude.

Speaking of eBay... Bought a Denso O2 sensor that AutoZone wanted $235 for. I paid $95 for the sensor LATE Friday night. I wasn't expecting them to ship it till today but I was wrong, it was in my mail box today... gotta love it!
Im sorry you disagree, and im even more sorry to hear you got ripped off. But just fyi I have be refunded everytime I got beat on Ebay which was like 3 times. I am almost positive that paypal offers buyer protection up to 1000$ on each transaction done. And I think that Ebay offers you up to 20000$ when buying autos. But the catch is you gotta abide by their guidelines in order to get your money back. Its pretty much the only way to covor your ***.
