evap ecu code ????
My friends 98 GSR has been throwing the EVAP code for about 3 weeks now and he's taken it to several different places and none have really been able to help him. So far he has replaced the gas cap and gone through to cans of fuel cleaner. And his ECU keeps throwing codes every few days now. After every attmepted fix, the ECU was reset.
What else is there to check? His engine is 100% stock btw, not even an intake.

cheapest/esiest way to fix it is convert to OBD1(which doesnt check EVAP), ill be doing this real soon.

OBD2 cars have 2 or 3 codes for the EVAP system. Which one is it, do you know the code #? Helm manual has a pretty detailed troubleshooting procedure for checking that stuff. There's several different valves, lots of hoses, & a pressure sensor.
