Size of the hub spindle nut?
The helms says 22mm all over the place, but I could have sworn it was larger than that. I was thinking 32mm for some reason...
Can anyone verify?

22mm is probably the size of the threaded part of the axle. 32mm is the size of the head of the nut.
I think every bolt size measurement in the service manual gives you the size of the bolt/nut, not the size of the head.
Lug nuts are 12x1.5 and you use a 19mm socket on the head of the nut.. same principal.

Hehe. You know, I was wondering about the lug nuts as well.
So what good is the helms if you can't check the diagrams, grab all of the correct sockets you will need, and line them all up within reach in descending order...
I need help.
