Default Single Sided swing arm conversion

I have a 1995 honda cbr 600 F3. I found a single sided swing arm complete with shock for $200.00 shipped. they said that I only need the wheel to just bolt right up to the bike and go. I want to know if there is anyone out there that has done this and how hard it is to do. Any info would help. Is it worth the money to do?

If it's only $200.00, I would go for it.

$200!! It is probably from a Honda VFR and they usually go for $600 complete with the rear wheel so I would jump on it. I have one in my garage from my last bike and I might swap it on my F4.

Heres some info on swapping: http://www.tireqwik.com/sssa/menu.html
*Its for a 900rr but you get the picture.

IMO i wouldnt do it.

some of the models of NSR, VFR, RVF have Proarm (thats what Honda calls it), but swapping it usually doesnt either align properly, or does align properly but might not run straight. Thats what ive heard with people swapping a NSR250 Proarm into a older model NSR250.

Several F2/3's have had VFR and NT650 swingarm conversions . I helped a guy out with his a couple years ago ( pic below ) and it was pretty straight foreward IIRC . It's a Hawk swingarm and shock with the VFR rim conversion . I know that there are quite a few F2/3 VFR Pro Arm conversions but I really don't know anything about any machining that needs done if any or what needs done about the shock . The bloke that owns this bike used to have the entire conversion online but I can't recall the URL - his brother's site is http://www.rc31.com and could tell you more/put you in contact with him . Mind you , he went through the further hassle of the rim conversion - a stock Hawk rim would look pretty dorky on an F3 IMO ... HTH .

Hi, can you share the link from where you bought the swingarm with shock? And also how does the bike feel after installation?
