What do you guys have holding the water?
how often do you guys have to refill?
Is there a gauge that i can use to monitor the water?

 

Most guys will use a 2 gallon fuel cell, others even use a regular old soda cooler.
No need to refill, but its good to drain some out and add ice every so often
A gauge? Hmm, maybe a fuel level sending unit...but there really isnt a need. The water gets recycled, it doesnt disappear.

thanx but im actually lokoing for something with a resevoir. the kit im getting already comes with the intercooler. just need the resevoir, pump and lines..

it actually does evaporate but it takes good amount of time and heat for that... always good to drain and fill with some fresh ice. just use an igloo cooler with drilled out with -10 quick fittings.

 

Lots just use a coolant/water mixture. A friend has one on his 323 GT, works great espcially on those hot humid nights!

yeah its always hot and humid in louisiana , im hoping itll help out at the track compared to air to air setups

Just use water and some water wetter, it dissapates heat better than a coolant mix. It doesnt get cold in LA.

 

The only problem using a heat exchanger and a resevoir for ice water is the outside air temp is higher then the ice water which helps melt it.

We sell two heat exchanger kits , one uses a heat exchanger and the other a resevoir.
You would be better using the heat exchanger for the street then switch to the resevoir for the track so you can fill it with ice. Best of both worlds.

 

why not just use a radiator? i think the key to driving it arnd would be to monitor you iat ..get an idle air temp...should give you some idea of whats goin on.
