performance friction (carbon metallics) for auto-x
hey all,
i am a "budget" auto-x'er. hehehe. well, my pads are screaming "replace me" on my 5th gen lude. after some consideration (mainly whether i can afford it or not), i think i am gonna go with the carbon metallics from autozone. they are cheaper than "super pads" and comes with lifetime warranty(wears out, take em back, get a new set).
now, i am wondering... has anyone run with these pads in auto-x? cuz imo, these are oem quality, if not slightly better.
i am also concerned with the "dusting" issue as i have white racing harts wheels. any inputs?
thanx

they'll be fine for autocross. OE pads dont get abused enough to need that much better, although alot of drivers prefer a more aggressive pad.
I think castrol sells some wheel product thats a wax, which will protect your wheels from dust as well as a cleaner that works pretty well also. Wash them every few weeks and wax them you should be ok.
