Default wiring is wrong.

okay so like when i turn my headlights on... the stereo turns off. and i took it in to audioEXPRESS or whatever and they said that nothing is wrong. but obviously they are wrong..

I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and was able to fix it.

They might've screwed up the wiring. Give some more details about your system.

Most wiring harnesses carry a signal for parking lights/headlights. This is generally called the "dimmer" so when your lights are on, the radio face backlight dims so it's not glaring in your face at night.

That's the wire to check for!

usually this dimmer is orange wire (on alpine) but i dont know about your stereo. you dont really need it, but it does stop the stereo from being too bright at night. TRY to disconnect it and see if that works. it is only a short term "solution" but that might get you by until you have it rewired correctly.
