i just installed a headunit in my 1995 Integra...and it plays perfectly, but at night when i turn my headlights on it doesnt turn off...it malfunctions and doesnt play music, nor acknowledge that there is a cd in...none of the buttons work...if anyone can help please do so =/

 

Check for blown fuses; cars show all sorts of strange behaviour when one circuit with a common ground goes dead.

Also, there are wires that go back along the driver's side to the antenna that may be close enough to the tail light wiring that some short could be causing the problem?

its just funny because it doesnt turn off when i turn the lights on, it just malfunctions and doesnt work right...its weird...gonna return the head unit because it has to be something funky goin on with it...

 

Some head units have a dimmer wire so when you turn on your lights it dims just like your clock/dash. Maybe you have it hooked up wrong?
