Default Removing Valve Cover

Hey i wanna paint my valve cover. Thinking gunmetal or a deep red. Anyway, i know i need some high temp paint and what not. My question is though..how do i safely and properly remove the valve cover? Are the bolts connecting it to the head tourqued? any vacum lines i should worry about (and while i'm at it..should i install a breather?)? Anyone willing to point me to a how-to guid would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

p.s.- It's an h23 if it makes any difference.

1. Unscrew bolts
2. Remove

I painted my GSR's valve cover when I was a complete newb, there's nothing too it...just make sure you're careful not to tear the valve cover gasket or you will have a massive oil leak.

When you put it back on, clean the oil off of the valve cover gasket and rubber seals in the spark plug holes, unless you're replacing them. Also, use a little RTV or Hondabond to make sure it seals up properly. DO NOT overtighten the bolts, they break easily.

Naw, no worries, the only line you'll have to pull off is the one that goes from your valve cover to your intake, it comes right off, and just slap it on when you're done. And remember to reconnect your ground wire.

The gasket and plug rubbers should only less than that, from the dealer.
