k im plannin to do an ls vtec conversion on my ls motor. i was wondering do i need a new disturbutor like a vtec dist, or i can use my non vtec dist. thanks alot.

 

You need to use the dist that came with vtec head preferably b16 or b18c. A ls dist will not work on a vtec head. If you bought a vtec head w/no dist they run about $200 look in classifieds you might get one cheaper.
