I shift at redline most of the time when I race but i cant help but think that maybe im doing it all wrong. Can anyone colaborate cause when i race sometimes i grind second gear just a little sometimes it happens and sometimes it dont.

Couple of trips

Check out your clutch cable or slave cylinder. Make sure they both work properly and get full disengagement. Adjust if neccessary!

Redline is not the best place to shift at. If AFTER you shift you feel an increased pull you waited too long in the rev and torque band to shift. You want to travel through the gearbox from torque peak to torque peak and not fall into the valleys at either end.

Good luck testing this. Get a G meter if you can. It will quantify your seat of the pants!
