this is not a good thing someone help me plz.why did we run a diagnostic on my car and crank angle sensor showed up.im using a 92 distributor but i swaped a b18b.i thought the crank angle sensor was in the distributor.cause i got that and tdc sensor.
older motor do have them, obd1 motors do at least, it's in the distributors, i don't think there's anyway to change out, u need to get a new distributor if it's faulty.

im using a distributor from my old block which was bad already just ordered a new one.i got a 94 b18b in my 92 ls.not sure if the mechanic was reading it for the 92 or 94.car is running rich as hell and im getting spark at the wrong time.its not in synch.just have this popping exhaust at idle.
what code exactly did u pull? if it's a cel code 4, then it's ur CKP(crankshaft position sensor) inside the distributor. If it's the code 54 for the CKF(crankshaft speed fluctuation sensor/known to some as the crank angle sensor) it's on your oil pump but only exist on obd2 engines '96-up (u shouldn't have one). btw, TDC and CYP are a couple more sensors also inside of the distributor.
