HELP: My friend screwed up my spring install
I went down to my friends to install my Neuspeed Sports today. We got the rear right done fine using an impact wrench. So we told my other friends to start on the rear right. He went over with a ratchet and right away snapped the head off the bolt on the LCA to shock. So I went to Home Depot to pick up supplies to drill it out.... well it cost me $80. So it was now 7:00 and al;l dealerships are closed. So I went back, put my stock spring back in, and went home. SO tomorrow, should I drill out that bolt or go to a shop and have them drill it out for me and get my $80 back? Also, is it okay for my to drive the head of theat bolts snapped off? thanks for your help
It should come out relatively easy now. Put a drill on it turning left(whichever way loosens) and it should back it out...assuming you have no load on the screw.

unfortunately, those don't work too well when the bolt has no head on it.

like the other guy said, as far as i kno.. this tool will only work if there is actually a head on the bolt to work with.

There is no head on the bolt so tyhis is what I am going to try. I went down to Acura and picked up the bolt and a nut that fits it for $8.00. I am going to dremal off the nut, and this will eliminate all of the threads on the bolts. So now I should be able to just punch it out. Then I will put the new bolts throught with a lock washer and the nust the guy gave me. Has anyone else tried this?
