Default I need help with noises coming from my acura integra

I have a 94 Acura Integra LS that I had just bought about 3 months ago and I'm doing work on it slowly. I've already put a 4 point race clutch in it about a month and a half ago because the stock clutch went out, and I'll be getting a new exhaust catback soon, but I was just wondering about a couple noises I hear when I drive my car. The first one is when I'm stopped and start up in first gear I hear a scrapping type noise when I'm engaging my clutch which started happening about a week ago and also there is a rattling noise that happens at about 1500 and 2900 RPMs. It used to rattle at about 3600 and 4500 when I first got it but it's changed. I'm thinking that it is probably the heat shield that's causing that noise, but I don't know for sure. My exhaust has a hole in it which is why i'm getting a new one and I just wanted to see if getting a new exhaust will help the rattling noise and what the scrapping noise is. Hope you can help. Thanks

Clutch noise sounds like a throw-out bearing, but you did put a new one in when you did the clutch, didn't you?? Did you grease it & the splines of the tranny input shaft?

The rattling noise sounds like heatshields but some of them are bolted to the underside of the car. Getting a new exhaust won't fix those. But it gives you a good chance to find & fix whatever it is. GS-Rs have a rattling problem with the A-pipe, but I don't know if that applies to LS, too.

gettin a noise from what sounds like the rear right at low speeds...almost a squeek or a squeel. brakes should be good still, fronts are not in need of replacement, so i'm figuring the rears shouldn't be either. '98 gsr, drive it like a race car obviously even though nothing more than an aem cai has been put on. god, i need to hit lotto.

He's got a point about the release bearing! That should have been replaced, and you should have also got your flywheel machinded before you put the new clutch on......

apart of the killer "B" familly

Yes, I did get a new clutch put in about 1 1/2 months ago. The scrapping sounds come when I engage in first at the very beginning.

I found out that there's an enormous hole in my exhaust the size of tennis ball. Looks like it was rusted out. But that's just making my exhaust louder. The rattling is coming closer to the catalytic converter, but I don't think it's the cat.

The scrapping noise sounds like it's coming from the front center. I've also noticed that my gears are shifting a little harder lately even tho I just got a new clutch. Could that be the clutch master cylinder? I'm not sure what's making the scrapping noise, but if it is the clutch then I have a 90-day warranty on the bitch.

I broke it in for longer than I was supposed to. It was supposed to be broken in for 500 miles and I broke it in for 620 miles before I did anything on that clutch.

hmm can't help ya on that first noise.. but i'd be thinkin the same thing about the second one... i'm pretty sure its a heatshield. By any chance, did you install a short shifter recently? Cuz i kno many people complain about rattling noises after installing their short shifters...
