You won't see much of a displacement increase by boring .020" over. It's only a 1.2% increase in displacement.

1797cc vs. 1820cc

If you're buying the pistons before taking your measurements, I'd get the .5mm oversized so you can just go ahead with overboring the cylinders for proper straightness and clearance. It's better than buying the std 81mm pistons first and then realizing that you need to overbore to correct the cylinder issues.

Then again, you might not need the rods and pistons you listed. It's really more about how well the motor is put together and tuned than what parts are used. Yes, there are thresholds on the parts' operating capacity, but I don't think you'll be anywhere near exceeding them if I'm assuming that it won't be much more than a daily street/strip car. Consider using PCT OS pistons to get around the same compression.

Do you have any idea of what kind of power goal/limit you're looking to hit? Or, what kind of racing you'll be doing?

well i wanna make upwards of 200whp. do plenty of drag racing and street use.i opted for th forged pistons and racing rods for high rpm handling and durability for high rpms. i know skunk2 2's scream to the moon so i should need these parts, righht?

I'm still trying to find a real dyno plot for the stage 2's so I can see when the torque and power curves start falling off.

I've only heard from Jeff @ IB mentioning that the cams will peak slightly above 9k and still pull all the way up to 10k.

If that's really the case, you should probably use the aftermarket stuff and balance it if you're going to be hitting 10k rpm.
