i know this is a dumb question but....im trying to tighten the castle nuts that hold the ball joints in, and everytime i try to tighten it, the whole dam thing spins, getting me no where fast. someone please tell me how to do this...thanks alot.

thanks...anywyas...this tool whether used on the upper or lower ball joint puts enough pressure to keep that biotch from slippin pretty self explanitory once you see the tool and shh what is spinning when you turn the castle nut. good luck bro

btw...not a dumb question...I just replaced my ball joints and had to ask too

 

when ever do the lower, I clean up the spindle real good, and the hole its going into and drop it in there, if that doesn't make it stick I use a spare jack on the lower control arm to put some pressure on it..

The other two ball joins I usually tap a few times with a breaker bar.. to settle the spindle..
