aight im trying to get one over the summer, im not looking for anything crasy and expensive. name some bikes i should look into within my budget? 3000-3500
I also agree a CBR 600 F3 would be a good bike in that price range. Just becareful. I almost ended my life on an F3. It is not a slow bike as you will find out!
Whatever used bike you get, make sure the gearbox shifts smoothly and does not pop out of gear at high rpms (very expensive to fix). Try to find a bike with the original plastics and paint. Buy a bike that is garaged and from a private seller. They can probably tell you more about the history of the bike then the used dealer's bikes that sit outside every day.

Cbr 600 f3...I got a clean 1995 cbr with 20,000 miles for $2,000.00 that will leave you plenty of money left over for helmet, leathers, and mods....

for a first bike don't worry about years and stuff...you're going to knock it down, drop it, fall in the gravel or someone will harm it...tha'ts just how it is.
i'd say a cbr f2 or f3, so you're looking like early-mid 90's cbr, you can get them for a good cost and they'll last a while. i had an fzr600 i just sold and it was a champ.
