D Series Tranny codes...
Ok guys, I know the P20/B000 is for the 92-95 EX/Si...
Is the P4A/B000 for the 96-00 EX?
I really need to know, and have done tons of research and searching but can't come up with much info for the 96+ Civic.

My VX tranny says S20 also, I think they all may have the same code actually?
Ah, just checked mista bone's page, the ex/si is p20/b000 and the VX/CX/DX is p20/a000

I wish I knew the 96-00 EX tranny, don't know off the top of my head.

Yeah, I know the 92-95 EX/Si is the S20, and the 96-00 EX is supposed to be S40...
But I'm talking about the casting stamp on the tranny housing.

Ohh, I gotcha.
Have you checked with Honda themselves? Just ask them if they have what you are looking for, then it should say on the part number.

Wow, I thought S20 and S40 were on the housing of the tranny somewhere.....never really had a reason to check though, because i knew from the beginning my car had the best of the D-Series trannies. I didn't even bother to look when i had it off to put in my clutch.
Mista Bone would know the answer to this.

its wayy too hard to look at it when its on unless u got a crazy neck or maybe a lift. i kept on hittin my head on the tire trying to get my head in there. i thinks its near the filler plug area. i dont remember exactly. much much easier to see with the tranny out. with it in you mite now ever even notice its there
