Japanese EGs are native to Japan. Canadian EGs are native to Canada.

The funny thing is its not an eg unless it was
made in Japan. Its an eh. I dont think that any
U.S. 5th gen civics were made in Japan. Almost
posative.

My 94 Canadian ex has all wheel anti-lock disc brakes and a little sun blocker thing above the rear view mirror...other than that I think they're the same

I got a 92 Canadian cx, and when I broke my needles on my cluster years ago, the cluster I picked up didn't work when I plugged it in. When I took it back to the junkyeard, the guy told me that some electronica parts for canadian models are harder to find, and some do no correlate with Japanese parts. I ended up having to find a canadian cluster cause the circuitboard on the cluster is different.

Almost all Civic hatchbacks (92-95) for the North American market were made in Canada. You can check your car and it will have a Made by Honda Canada sticker unless yours is a RHD from Japan or the few made in the US.

It was first believed that all North American hatches were made in Canada and all coupes for the US market were made in the US.There was a thread on this subject about a year ago but I could not find it. A few on this thread indicated that their hatches were made in the US if I remember correctly.

The thread also indicated that no Japanese manufactured hatches were exported by Honda for the North American Market.

Most if not all:

Hatches were made in Canada
Coupes were made in the US
Sedans were made in Japan
