Brake pedal soft on hot days
My brake pedal seems to travel farther down on hot days, also sometimes when I come to a stop and hold the brakes down, it seems like the brake pedal starts going down, but that only happen when I was stoped going down hill. So anyways I don't think bleeding the brakes will fix anything. I talked to my mechanic about this and bleeding the brakes. He said you really never have to bleed the brakes unless you drain the hole system or the fluid in the cup got way belowe the line. So I don't think thats what my problem is. Plus it only happens on hot days, so if there was air in my lines then it would do it all the time. Anyways what do you guys think ?
Find the procedure for testing the booster from the Helm manual. Once you have done that, bleed with good fluid, following the correct sequence and you should be good to go.
I encounter the same thing, today was warm and the brake pedal was all mushy. But I know I have a bled system with no leaks, and a good booster. What is this and how is it stopped?
Well I really can't bleed my brakes, reason being is I broke one of the nipples off the caliper and there is no other way to get it out. My mechanice said its basically to risky to drill it out because a new nipple won't set it right and cause a leak.
