How do I prevent fuel from coming out of the lines when I pull my engine?
I will be pulling my D15 out probably Wednesday. I just want to make sure that when I disconnect the fuel line from the D15 that it doesn't shoot gas out all over the place or something. I already took off the gas cap so I think the pressure has been released but I'm not sure. I just want to be safe with the least mess.
there will be a bolt (12mm?) threaded into the top of one of the banjo bolts on the fuel filter. loosen this, and some fuel will trickle out. after thats loose, then there will be no pressure (unless the car is on

like kibbler said.... u can take the pressure off the lines... but fuel willalways drip and get around
Maybe I will just stick locking pliars on one side of the hose so nothing comes out until I bolt it back up.
good luck with that one haha that fuel line that runs to the fuel rail is a little thick lol. dude its SIMPLE hold the large bolt with a 14mm (i believe) wrench and then use a 12mm wrench to loosen the top nut. bam fuel pressure relieved.
I used locking pliars on the rubber hoses when I changed my fuel filter before, seemed to work fine.
