According to Otobe the new solution will be a new double wishbone construction!!

Don't read too much into his statement.
He was speaking hypothetically. Basically, he was saying that either setup is ideal, depending on other factors.
Kind of like "defending" the use of struts this time around.

I believe you're still supossed to change a chain.
The reason I was told that they were allowed to safely use belts was because with the low compression cars, the belt could break and the piston would never touch a valve. High compreesion car, belt breaks = new heads. Anyone know if thats really true?

here it says struts: http://www.zing.com/picture/p3562e5d...f.jpg.orig.jpg
They said it will have the performance of double-wishbone but with the added safety struts allows. I bet it only pulls .88gs. Any bets.

Sentra's have had chains for years and you STILL need to change a chain......bigger pain in the **** than a belt....
30mins for a belt change or 1.5 hours for chain change.....?? and the chain will surely lighten you wallet!
you do the math.

They tell you you need to change a chain? I had a 1990 Grand Am that had that Quad 4 engine and it had a chain and in 220,000 miles I never had any problems and I was like 17 at the time so I drove like a moron.
But I never heard of changing a chain or a chain breaking? Just wondering if anyone had a bad chain driven overhead cam experience.

At the very least the tensioner.....but why the heck would you go into the bowels of your motor to replace the idler tensioner and not do the chain?????Sure the chain will last longer than a belt but the math is pro-belt from a $ stand point........ A belt can be done with 4 tools, chain is not that simple.......
No biggy, I just like simple things that are cheap.

here: not a video but you owe me $25

Agreed. I wouldn't want a damn chain either. On a separate note, I saw some pics of the RSX being tested and it looked like a pig it had so much body roll in a corner.

Although, the one thing I am pretty excited about with the new RSX is the additional torque.
