Default Do I need a wedge shaped adapter plate?

I'm getting an adapter plate fabricated to fit my 14b turbo to an hf manifold. Will the adapter plate need to be wedge shaped so the turbo won't hit my d16a6? Thanks.

i recently had a local machine shop make me a plate up, it will not hit your block if you just get a flat one made, just make sure it doesnt stick out too far, mine barely made it in with the radiator
