when i got from any gear to 2nd it will grind, unless i let teh RPM's fall and go in slow but when i shift into 2nd from 1st weather it be racing or normal no grinding. what the deal. any help is great thanks
Sounds like your synchros are on their way out.. time to look for a new tranny or get a rebuild..
I have a ZC tranny I am about to put up for sale
Some things taht may help, Honda MTL, or Double Clutching..

do double clutching...
i can save ur synchros from being broken this way,....
what u have to do its match the RPMS with the shifting point.. means that u have to rev the engine a lil before u let clutch go when downshifting.. so the speeds inside tranny get equalized

yup, try doing this....when coming to a stop, about 20 mph, try putting it in 1st...it wont go in, its the same deal with what your doing now jus your going faster bc your in a higher gear, you either have to rev-match or slow down enough for the gear to pop in.

what you all just said doesnt seem like its his problem, if it only grinds when goin down a gear why the synchros, you wuold think they would grind going into 2nd from first then too if it was synchros???
thats why I explained what i did, hes not rev-matching but even so his synchros are "worn" not bad, thats why they wont grab when he shifts from any gear other than 1st bc its not rev-matched.

tranny rebuild kits are from $100- $200 bucks..
and I have a friend that will rebuild them for $100, if you bring him the tranny and the kit.
I just takes time.... like anything else on a Honda once you get in there its not that bad..
