what does riding on the bumpstop mean ?
what exactly does riding on the bumpstop mean? how do i know if i am doing it. also i installed some tein ss a while ago but i did not install the washer that sits right on top of the bumpstop. how will this effect the damper. will there be some negative effect.

The bumpstops keeps your shock from compressing down onto and damaging the piston housing. Not installing the washer means that the piston isn't putting equal weight on parts of the bumpstop possibly causing damage to it over time. You should put the washer back on. Riding on the bumpstop means that you have no room from compression only rebound and your ride is going to be hard and bumpy as hell. I'd say your going to have to replace your shocks shorty.
