Default Stereo help...

Hey all! I'm really stupid when it comes to stereo stuff so bear with me. Because one of the previous owners of my Civic HB stripped most of the interior for autocrossing, including the stereo, it needs an all new stereo set-up (wires, speakers, deck, everything). I know a guy who is installing it all for me for a very low price. The only problem is that I have two gauges (for my AFC computer) where the stereo should be. I was just wondering where I should have the deck installed. I can either have him put the deck somewhere else, like in another part of the dash, or I can buy a two-gauge pillar and relocate the gauges. What should I do?

It'd probably be easier to just move the gauges. If you don't mind dropping ~$120 you can pick up the optional audio console (if it's a 92-95 hatch).

Thanks for the reply. I think I might just move the gauges, but before I decide, what is the "audio console" you refered to? If I were to go that route, where would I look for one?

I assume that it is the console you see in the picture shown above. Do a search on google for:
civic "audio console"
and you'll get some hits, like this one:

What's and "EK"? Like I said, I don't know stereo stuff at all.
