Civic Si Numbers?
i was wondering if us civic Si owners had numbers because of the rareity of the Si's. you know how ITR owners have numbers to tell them what number their car is out of 500 or however many were made...i want to know if Si's have those numbers also. if anyone knows where i can find out please tell me.

I'm pretty sure that the Si was pretty common in 1992-1993, but slacked off probably in 1994-1995 because the EX coupe sold so much better, thus the demise of the Si hatchback in 1996-2000.
Si hatches are rare in the for sale world because they are such awesome cars for many people. 125hp, 4-wheel discs, power moonroof, cruise control, power steering, clock, rear wiper, and great cargo room are reasons why so many 25-40 year olds buy them and never sell them.
Swapsters like myself can be easily pursueded to sell off their Si hatches because of their weight disadvantages, but as far as stock Hondas go I've never liked any other Honda better than the 1992-1995 Civic Si hatchback. No offense to the 1999-2000 because it's a killer car, but IMO the real Si died in 1996 when they neglected to bring the U.S the Si hatchback in 1996 hatchback form.
Before anyone brags about the B16A in the 99-00 Si coupes, remember that stock vs. stock the cars actually run very close 1/4 mile timewise. I recall running 15.6 with my only mod being an AEM intake on a full interior (minus spare) 1992 Si on full stock sus with 185-60-14 Michelin MXV4 ****-tread tires.

I've never loved any car more than the 1992-1995 Civic hatchback. I've stated this before in an old topic where I told where I came from in this Honda ****, but when I saw the 1992 Si in black on the showroom floor in late 1991 as my Mom was geting her 1990 STD hatch serviced I fell in love and never looked back.
I still have a 1992 Si in Granada Black Pearl with a B16A2 swap, so my love for the Si is still strong, but I sold my other 1992 Si that I had repainted Flamenco Black Pearl because of weight issues. I currently run my "quick" car in the form of a 1992 CX chassis.
Here's a few pics of my old 1992 Si hatches - actually to be fair one is my fiancee's, but I swapped in a B16A2 for her so at least 1/2 of the car is mine

One B16A2 and one B18C5:

And the 1992 Si as it sits now:

Now some in the past have mistaken my trade of the Si for the CX and my rantings about Si hatches being heavy bitches as hatred for the Si hatch - not true at all. I'm just realistic and I understand that a lower trim level weighing a good 150-350lbs. less (350lbs. less if you have an ABS 1994-1995 Si hatchback weighing in at over 2450lbs!) will be quicker with less money invested because of our friend, power to weight ratio.

The Si we still have serves as the best car in the garage so to speak. It has full interior, A/C, power steering, cruise, nice softer suspension, and of course a decent swap too. It gets the most mileage on it for sure, and is a great trip car.
Anyways I've bastardized this thread, but IMO we kind of lost the focus of the intended topic because the topic starter wanted 1992-1995 Si info, not so much 1999-2000 info.

96-00 Si hatchbacks? That would have been very cool.
