Like the title states, can I hit 350 whp with this setup? or is my goal too high? Im not quite sure how much boost I can run on this setup and injectors safely.
LS/VTEC stock bore, GSR intake mani.
Darton sleeved
Endyn 9:1 pistons
Eagle Rods
JG Pro Series Head
Drag Manifold
t3/t04e .57 trim
hondata 2b
delphi 550 injectors, walbro 255lph, aem fpr
2.5" DP and exhaust
Just give me an educated guesstimate. Thanks

400 hp with 550cc injectors? can someone confirm this. I would pee in my pants out of glee if I made 400 on this setup
What is it about the drag manifold that I should be careful of? Spiking? Of the whole year I boosted un-tuned and redlining everyday at .55 kgm, I have not spiked once with my Tial 35mm and AVCR.

I made 390 at 20psi with only dsm injectors with that exact turbo. YOu should have no problem..

You can make that power only question is t3/t04e is really effecient up to max around 350 so if u wanna make more power which, with motor setup you have and fuel management you have that option, i would say buy a bigger turbo and get all your power for the $ out of that motor and hondata.

You say the t3/to4e is only efficient to 350? Someone told me 450 so I have mixed opinions here. Maybe its the difference of the .54 and .57? I dont want a bigger turbo because I want good drivability will minimal lag.

57 trim on this turbo would be right about 350, you can make more power than that but you would lose power on the top end, where you could make more going to a bigger turbo. Your goal realistic why not tune and make your goal 350 and then see if you are happy. I would be very happy with 350. good luck. Someone correct me if im wrong though.
57 trim as long as its .63 or .82 turbine will make more then 400 hp easily. You will max out the 550's before the turbo becomes inefficent.
Nice setup by the way.

a t04e 57trim compressor will give you 70% efficiency at 25psi @ 40lbs/min (roughly 400hp) in contrast it'll be at 50% for the same flow at 16psi. A general rule of thumb i was taught was that the benefits from increased flow beat out the draw backs of decreased thermal efficiency. This doesn't take into consideration what size housings you're using (as far as flowing 40lbs/min). Compressor maps are our friends:

The #'s on the left are a ratio not psi:
(ratio x 14.7) - 14.7 = psi
hope this helps. -Mike

Well thats good to know.
I actually am not looking for more than 350 anymore. That is too unpractical for me, especially on my stock gsr tires, for now. I just got the motor today from Viren, and its getting installed tommorow. Im going on a quest to break-in the motor in 2 days. Im buring cd's at the moment to keep me entertained during a 500-600 mile city drive. Then off to the dyno and I will keep you guys updated.
My next investments are get rid of the POS clutchnet stage 2, get shocks, Falken Azenis, get rid of the stock cat, and possibly an e-cutout (cheezefrog is my hero)
