the only si's that had rear disks were the 90-91 crx si's. I hear it's not that hard to do but it's really not worth the effort, i hear the drums work just as well.

it's has to be worth it. plus they look way better. i know on my a1 gti the rear disk made a world of difference. so what all do i need to change to install the 91 si rear brakes on my 88 dx?

i just did this swap last week, 91 integra rear trailing arm to 88 crx dx. all you need are the trailing arms and e-brake cables, everything will bolt in as it should meant to be there. save a lot of patience for the cable brackets.

Picked up the whole swap ( minus proportioning valve) at the junk yard for $58.00 during a half-off day. The moment you step on the brake pedal you'll know where your time and money went. As far as running the E-brake cables back to the lever, just spray a little WD, prolong or any kind of spray luricant on the ends and a little on the rubber boot underneath your car. The first cable took me like 20 minutes without the spray, the second cable (lubed up) took me like 20 seconds!

If you use your stock LCAs then you can. I'm assuming you still have the 88 DX LCAs right?

They sure will, I've done this swap as well. You should hang on to those billet LCA's tho if they have the eyelets for threading the rear sway bar. You can always swap them back in and change your rear shocks later to 89-91. Food for thought: most JDM spec struts and Type R use the 88 style LCA, so if a JDM spec suspension is in your future plans, you may want to hang onto those 88 LCA's.
For trailing arms, anything with rear disks thru the 93 teg should work, make sure you change the prop valve to series 3040 and here's a tip: you can swap in the Master Cyl. from the Canadian Integra XSi (still available brand new from Honda) w/out changing the booster cylinder and gain to a diameter of 15/16. The bolt pattern is identical!
Don't forget braided steel lines, then it's on to fun things, like 11" brakes front & rear & 4-piston calipers...
It's saved my life twice so believe me, it's money well-spent.

Yes, just get the corresponding cables form whatever railing arms you get. As far as the Master cylinder, a 91 prelude is a direct swap using your old fluid resivour, it also has 15/16 diameter and are pretty comon to come across a junk yard. Fobtions picked one up the other day for $10.
