RS Door Handles...
I know a few people here changed their door handles to remove the lock switch. I believe this was done with RS door handles. If so where can I get some? I would like to do the same

Acura (parts) warehouses were out of stock for the last several weeks, probably due to the threads posted about this security enhancement last month... I had mine on order from Acura for about 5 weeks, and they just came in last Friday. Cost was only like $12 for the pair, and they went on easy and look great. Kudos to whoever started this topic!

on a related topic. i just attempted to install the OEM roof switch to compliment my RS bezels with a functional Door lock switch this past weekend. Works fine, except it has now disabled the power door lock function of my alarm. so, looks like i need to trouble-shoot it a bit when i get a chance.
if anyone wants the pinout for the moonroof switch to convert it over to be used as a power lock switch, i can help out.

How exactly is this a "security enhancement"? If they want your car, they can break the damn window...
I did this a long time ago.
I'd like the pinouts, because I am thinking about hiding a switch somewhere else, like inside the armrest. I have had my car like this for a long time, and I actually haven't found it to be an issue with locking/unlocking the doors from the inside at all.

Most people who steal cars get in by prying back the driver's window with a screwdriver and reaching in. Pop the power lock with the tip of your finger and you're in there.
I know because I've locked my keys in my car before. You'd be surprised how far a Honda window can flex before breaking.
Also, I have 10 sets scheduled to come to me within a few weeks. These are the RS inner door handles(no lock switch).
They have been on backorder for the past few weeks.

if you can get your hands on a OEM moonroof switch, there are 4 wires on it (make sure you get the wire plug harness)
A GRN/YEL
B BLK
C GRN/RED
D GRN
in order to wire the moonroof switch to operate the power locks, do the following:
terminal B, BLK will be cut and not used
terminal D, GRN will need to be wired to chasis ground
terminal A, GRN/YEL will need to be wired to the power door unlock circuit. this will be a BLK/RED wire if you choose the passenger side lock switch, or a GRN/RED wire if you choose the driver side lock switch.
terminal C, GRN/RED will need to be wired to the power door lock circuit. this will be a BLK/WHT wire if you choose the passenger side lock switch, or a GRN/WHT wire if you choose the driver side lock switch.
Passenger lock button wiring can be found in a large loom of wire in the drivers kick pannel. driver side lock button wiring can be found in the... you guessed it, drivers door. I'm having issues right now because apparenlty where i intercepted the wires, my alarm no longer sees ground through that circuit when arming/disarming. i will modify my connections when i have time and update.

Just wanted to let you guys know I just ordered a set from my local Acura dealer, $6 for the drivers side and $6 for the passengers side. Total was $12 plus tax.
just ordered mine from bellevue acura (use to work there) and they said they will have it to me by monday.
why is everyone's on backorder?

Question,
Do you guys think that by making it hard to break in, the theives might try to come back and think of it as a challenge? What I mean by this is ....
There's another GSR near me owned by an older guy who drives the car as a car nothing more.
Yes a theif can go to him and bust him up which they already did, then they see my car....
"hmm..no VTec badge..BUT GSR rims!, this guy must be into Tegs", says the punk"
Runs over to the car and see's no powerlocks, and cant open hood because of hood lock..
"hmmm this car must have something pretty valuable I am going to take it upon myself as a challenge to get this car" says the theif...
So what I mean is, the more I try to NOT be obvious and make things hard, might steer someone to try my car instead as a challenge???

I park in a parking deck that police officers use... breaking glass will alert them to foul play.
It is not a theft prevention... mearly a piece in the stages of theft prevention.

I dont want to say anything, but you can break into a car like ours in only a few seconds without even touching any glass.
My buddy locked his keys in his car at a car show, and there was a thief there. We asked him to help, and he opened the door in less than one second. It was unbe-*******-leavable. We both just stood there for like a minute with our mouths wide open.
Thats all I have to say about that. So just to let you know.
