Default what is going on when you feel the "loss of power"

this is more of a tuning type question but let see how it does.

I am getting more familiar with my car being boosted and after messing around with my VAFC (hack) and ignition timing, i make passes to see how it affects the car. I notice that on a few of my runs my car tends to flaten out towards the end of the power band.

Now, what exactly is happening to cause this? Is it too much timing, too little or is it too much fuel or not enough fuel. I know everyones reply will be put it on a dyno but for the time being can ppl answer the question based on their experience and knowledge.

Loss of power under boost would mostly be due to a lean condition--among other things.
Richen that bitch up and see if you can get a wideband on it for tuning.

I've heard of one case where a guy was going up to -25% with the AFC hack under boost - it had good power, but bogged afterwards due to being far beyond pig rich. If you aren't having that problem, and the smell of raw gas, I'd be inclined to agree with the opinion that you are too lean.

Can you post your AFC settings, and can you perform the blue wire mod to get some basic pass/fail grasp on your tuning situation?

blue wire mod is where you can monitor o2 voltage correct? i gotta look into it.

my setting are

wide LVT
1k-4k: -35
5k: -34
5.5k: -33
6k: -32
6.5k: -31

HVT
4k-7k : -35 to -30 accordingly as RPM increases.

I've had the same problem with mine.....It pulls good up to about 5.5k then the power just kinda drops off until redline. I'm using the s-afc and I havent really played with the settings a whole lot, right now I have the settings -40 across the board and it feels almost the same as when I had the settings -35 from 5k up. Havent gone past -35, guess it wouldnt hurt to try, worst thing it could do is run really rich. I will have my wideband working in about a week here so it realy doesnt matter...
