Just wondering who has the fastest 1/4 mi for the Type R? I have not raced mine, and was wondering who can give me the best advice at when to shift (what RPMS)? Get really nervous about being beat, even though its an R. Keep in mind....this is still considered my first manual.

I'm NOT the fastest, but allmotor my car has run 13.6. The redline is at 8400 and the revlimiter is around 8700 rpm. I shift my car at 8500 rpm when my shift light comes on. Note that your factory tach is incorrect, mine reads almost 9000 when I shift. HTH

I am hardly the fastest, but I generally shift at an idicated 8700RPM. My time in my sig is my best at this point. Header and Exhaust should be put in by next week and then I am hoping for a little better time.

I know there are a few in the 12's. Sgt I know for sure is in there. 12.7's I think. He's running a built motor though (I think).

There's a Turbo R in DE who ran a 12.5 two weeks ago. 13lbs boost, semi built bottom end.

 

A guy 'round my parts ran a 12.3 with a built motor, JRSC, and a 30 shot.

 

Rock Falls Raceway in Wisconsin. A Gsr with B18C5 w/ Turbo ran 12.0 flat 1/4 et. no traction at all. gutted to da bone.

 

I run 14.4's @ 98mph with just an AEM intake.

there was a 98 type R on the parts trader that ran 11.5 on slicks and 24psi of boost. there is another one on there now that runs 11.9 on slicks and 17psi. I ran a 14.5 on winter tires this year. I got my new tires so I hope to be back down to 14.2's or better again.
