Default Iceman Intake

well i just installed my new iceman intake today. It sounds very nice but dont a big difference. I havent gotten a chance to dyno it yet but maybe later on. For some reason it sounds different than other intakes, perhaps because of the plastic material. I also hear this high pitched humm at idle, does anyone else experience this? But overall, i'm happy with it.

Interesting, not many people here have the Iceman. This board has a habit of name-calling all the parts that they dont have, esp. in the intake category. AEM = AECrap (not very funny) and Icebox = Shitbox (funny). I bet we will eventually get some people referring to your piece as "Riceman." Whatever..looking forward to some dyno plots, could be a nice surprise.

I know someone that just Hydrolocked their motor over the weekend on the shitbox.

Boba- who thinks a new name for the ICEMAN should be the FisherPrice Man, cuz it looks like its made out of the same plastic as his son's Tonka truck.

Tonka's are not plastic, they are metal. I guess your son has not bopped on the head with the truck yet.

I like the plastic intake, compared to the AEM I used to have. After driving it hard over 20 minutes, you could not even touch the AEM cuz it was so hot, but the Iceman stays at room temp. I don't know if this has any performance ++, but it is still cool.

Tonka makes two different Trucks. My son has both plastic(for inside the house) and metal (for playing in his sandbox).

Boba- who knows his Tonka toys.

I really need to get the bypass for my AEM...too much talk of hydrolock is getting me worried...plus it's the start of hurricane season here in FL and my luck, i'll be the first to get it.

anybody know where to get one from anyone on here?
how's the install on it anyway, just cut in two locations about an inch apart and plug it in? How does it stay on?

thanks in advance

It pretty easy to put on. Just need to cut in half and it has clamps that come with it. Contact Mark at Landspeed racing.

Boba- who cant wait for a certain person to post pics of his hydrolocked Comptech "shitbox" motor.

They just did a recall of the AEM bypass valve because little bits of foam were breaking loose and flying up the intake. Maybe we can call that garbage-lock. Whoever got hydrolock with their Shitbox must have been running with either the undercarriage splash guard thingy removed, or the turn signal, and drove through some serious water.

I think the by-pass valve robs like 1 or 2 hp. I could be wrong though.
