they stabbed my tire
Vandals!
1991 Honda Civic Si - 185/60/R14 Toyo tires.
I pulled away from a restaurant last week and find out somebody stabbed the sidewall on my tire. Grr.
I drove on the donut and went to a junkyard where I bought a tire and a rim (nice to have a full-size spare). That tire had a hole in the sidewall and has since gone flat and been declared unrepairable.
So I borrowed a wheel and a tire from my neighbor (I gave him my old '89 Honda a few months ago) to get me by while I shop for tires.
This week as I'm out of town on business, one of my other tires went flat twice.
I guess I need new rubber.
So I browsed around on Tirerack.com and I'm kind of leaning towards the Dunlop Sport A2 in the stock size.
The reviews look good. They're pretty cheap. What do you guys think?
Would it be worthwhile to switch to a different size? Maybe this is my excuse to go with a 15 or 16" rim. I'm on stock suspension.
I would rank my priorities like this:
1) dry cornering / handling
1) Wet/Snow traction
3) Tread life
4) Comfort/noise
so, should I go with the dunlops in the stock size, or try to find some bigger rims? Where is a good place to get bigger rims? Cheap is good ...
Besides the custom exhaust, the vehicle is un-modded.
Thanks for the help guys!

not on a civic. they are different lug patterns.

well with 15" or 16" your traction and handling will go up of course, but it will also be more expensive to get a new set of wheels.
i say go for it, but it's up to you man. i think a new set of wheels can do a lot for the looks of a car. is the price of wheels + tires worth it to you?
